Habitat

Will use most habitats.

Foodplant

Heathers, bilberry, bramble, blackthorn, hawthorn, sallow, hazel, garden privet and ivy.

Lifestage data

Overwinters once as a small larva. Larva July-May. Pupates in the leaf litter in a tough cocoon.
