|1821 ~ Valerian Pug ~ Eupithecia valerianata|
First recorded in 2014 at Commins Coch in the far west of the county. It would seem that this species had been previously overlooked and is likely to occur in most places with rank vegetation. Since then it has been recorded at a few other scattered sites across the county.
Wingspan : M & F, 15-18mm.
Common Pug and Lead-coloured Pug.
Seems to occur in a variety of habitats, but especially damper places.
Overwinters as a pupa, in the debris on the ground. Larva, July-mid August.
