Woodland, scrub, hedgerows, parkland, gardens and urban areas.

Foodplant

Many species of broadleaved trees and shrubs.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a small larva on the foodplant. Larva July-June. The cocoon is attached to the foodplant or debris on the ground.
