UK Status Resident. Local S,W. Montgomeryshire Status A fairly common species, but seems to be absent from the south-eastern side of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 40-45mm. Confusion species Engrailed, Small Engrailed. |

time (Montgomeryshire)  Habitat Broadleaf and mixed woodland, dense scrub, parkland and large gardens. Foodplant Many species of broadleaved trees and shrubs. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa underground. Larva mid June-mid August. |
