UK Status Resident. Common Montgomeryshire Status A fairly common but local species, its stronghold is in the north-west of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 22-34mm. Confusion species Latticed Heath. |
Flight
time (Montgomeryshire)  Habitat Mostly heathland and moorland, but also found in meadows, grassland and woodland rides. Foodplant Heather, clovers, vetches and trefoils. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa in a slight cocoon on or just in the soil. Larva mid June-mid September. |
