A rare species with only four records for the county. The last one being taken at MV light at Guilsfield in 2005.

Habitat

Open woodland, downland, hedgerows, gardens, fens and coastal scrub.

Foodplant

Wild and garden privet, ash and lilac.

Lifestage data

Overwinters, occasionally twice, as a pupa, up to a depth of 30cm. Larva July-September.
