The second most abundant macro in the county with nearly 9000 individuals recorded. Wingspan : M & F, 32-40mm. Confusion species Common Footman, Buff Footman and Orange Footman. |
Flight
time (Montgomeryshire)  Habitat Fens, marshes and other wet places. Foodplant Lichens and green algae growing on trees. Lifestage data Overwinters as a larva. Larva mid August-late May. Pupates in the plant litter. |
