  Habitat Woodland, heathland, moorland. Foodplant A wide range of mainly woody plants, such as birch, oak and heather. It has also been recorded on bracken. Lifestage data Overwinters as a pupa in an underground cocoon. Larva late July-September, feeds at night and during the day. |
