A rare species. Just a single record exists for the county, this was taken at Welshpool in 2007.

Wingspan :  M & F, 28-34mm.

Habitat

Mainly calcareous grassland, also found in woodland and gardens.

Foodplant

The ripening seeds of sweet-william also recorded on bladder campion.

Lifestage data

Overwinters as a pupa in an underground cocoon. Larva July-early September.
