UK Status Resident. Common. Montgomeryshire Status Wingspan : M & F, 28-32mm. This is probably a very common species, but due to confusion with the Common Rustic there is a great deal of uncertainty amongst recorders. Confusion species Common Rustic. |

time (Montgomeryshire)  Habitat A range of grassy places, woodland and gardens. Foodplant Grasses. Lifestage data Overwinters as a larva. Larva September-May, feeding inside the stem. Pupates in a cocoon underground. |
