Wingspan :  M & F, 29-36mm.

Habitat

Mainly wet, marshy and boggy places, slightly dryer areas for the Ear Moth.

Foodplant

Various grasses.

Lifestage data

All overwinter as an egg. Larva April-July. All pupate on the leaf litter or just under the soil.
