UK Status Resident. A local species throughout Britain, with quite a patchy distribution. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded just twice in the county, in 1978, and then at Derwenlas in 2011 (see pics below). Wingspan : M & F, 12-15mm. Confusion species Incurvaria masculella. |

time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Bilberry, dogwood and Prunus sp. Lifestage data Leaf miner/Case-bearing. Eggs laid on leaf. Larva forms a blotch near the leaf tip, a case is formed which falls to ground. Larva continue to feed, case is attached to ground where pupation takes place. |
