Confusion species


Care should be taken, other species of Heliozela are very similar.

Wherever the foodplant is found.

Birch.

Lifestage data

Stem/Leaf miner/Case bearing. Eggs laid under the bark of twigs. Larva mines stem, then enters the lmidrib of leaf where it builds a case, this is carried to ground where it is attached. Pupa formed inside case.
