Wherever the foodplant is found.

Foodplant

Birch, hawthorn, apple (wild and cultivated), mountain ash, and cotoneaster spp.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on leaf. Larva forms a long tortuous gallery. Pupates in a slender open ended cocoon on the foodplant or in the vegetation below.
