Downland, grassland and roadside verges.

Yarrow.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on upperside of leaf. Larva mines along the margins of the leaf, it later feeds externally from above. Pupates in a white cocoon on the foodplant or in the vegetation below.
