Montgomeryshire Status

Leaf mines first found at Llanymynech Rocks in the north-east of the county in 2019.

Wingspan :   M & F, 11mm.

Confusion species

C. syringella.
Flight time & Voltinity (Univoltine)

Habitat

Woodland, rough ground and sea cliffs.

Foodplant

Wild privet and ash.

Lifestage data

Leaf miner. Eggs laid upperside of leaf. Larva first forms mine, later feeds in rolled leaf. Pupates: in rolled leaf.
