Recorded from a few sites in the noth of the county, probably much more common than the records suggest.

Wingspan :   M & F, 9-11mm.

Lifestage data

Shoot miner. Eggs laid under a flake of bark or behind an old bud. Larva overwinters in a spinning, then mines in a flowering shoot in the spring. Pupates in a fragile cocoon on the ground.
