UK Status Resident. Widespread and locally common throughout the British Isles. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from two widely separated sites. Wingspan : M & F, 10.5-12mm. Confusion species It is often impossible to separate the adults of some species. In some cases differences can be seen in various life stages. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Grassland and roadside verges. Foodplant White clover. Lifestage data Case-bearing/seed miner. Eggs laid on flower. Larva feeds on the ripening seeds, then spins a case from white silk. Pupates within case, attached to the ground. |
