Discovered in the east of the county at Dolforwyn Woods Nature Reserve in 2014.

Wingspan :   M & F 10-13mm.

Confusion species

Care should be taken as other species of Coleophora can look very similar.
Flight time & Voltinity (Univoltine)

Habitat

Woodland and grassland.

Foodplant

Goldenrod and occasionally sea aster.

Lifestage data

Case-bearing/seed miner. Eggs laid on floret. Larva feeds on seeds making a case in the final instar. Pupates within case.
