Resident. Widespread but local, found throughout the British Isles except the far north of Scotland.

Montgomeryshire Status

Recorded in two sites in the county, Commins Coch and Llanfyllin.

Wingspan :   M & F, 22-25mm.

Habitat

Oak woodland.

Foodplant

Many deciduous trees.

Lifestage data

Eggs probably laid on a twig or bark. Larva feeds between flatly spun leaves (one above the other). Pupates in a cocoon in detritus or the soil.
