UK Status Resident. Widespread in England and Wales, also found in Glasgow and Wigtownshire in Scotland, can be common. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded once from a single site in the west of the county at Commins Coch in 2006. Wingspan : M & F, 12-15mm. Confusion species None. |

(Univoltine)  Habitat Mainly urban areas. Foodplant Mosses. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs, oviposition site undescribed. Larva lives in a silken gallery where it feeds, in later instars it feeds outside gallery. Pupates in open network cocoon in larval feeding place. |
