Resident. Widespread and fairly common in England as far north as Yorkshire and from a few localities in the southern half of Wales.

Recorded from a single site in the west of the county at Commins Coch.

Wingspan :   M & F, 15-19mm.

A wide range of habitats.

Foodplant

Gorse, grand fir and insect galls.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs, oviposition site unknown. Larva forms a slight spinning from which it feeds and overwinters. Pupal site not unknown.
