Resident. Widespread and locally fairly common throughout the British Isles as far north as Easter Ross.

Found in two widely separated sites in the county at Commins Coch and Maesmawr Hall, near Caersws.

Leaf miner. Eggs laid on the foodplant. Larva first mines a narrow
gallery soon becoming an elongate blotch. Pupates in a whitish cocoon
on adjacent vegetation or in leaf litter. |
