UK Status Resident. Widespread and common throughout the British Isles as far north as Sutherland. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded from few sites on the eastern side of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 11-16mm. Confusion species A. paludana. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Bivoltine)  Habitat Mainly grassy places. Foodplant Pea, vetch and clover. Lifestage data Leaf miner/spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva first mines the leaf then spins a leaf into a pod or pocket and feeds within. Pupates spun up in a leaf on the ground or amongst the leaf litter. |
