Recorded from two sites in the north of the county at Lake Vyrnwy and Llanfyllin.

Wingspan :   M & F, 13-17mm.

Foodplant

Birch.

Lifestage data

Catkin feeder. Eggs, oviposition site not documented. Larva feeds inside a catkin. Pupates in whitish silken cocoon in larval habitation or spun up in leaf litter on the ground.
