Found for the first time at Cors Dyfi in the far west of the county in 2011.

Wingspan :   M & F, 12-15mm.

Flight time & Voltinity (Univoltine)

Habitat

Damp woodland, heaths, high ground & coastal dunes containing foodplant.

Foodplant

Various sallow & willow species.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva feeds within spun leaves or buds. Pupa light-brown in a fragile cocoon amongst leaf litter.
