UK Status Resident. Widespread and common throughout the British Isles as far north as Midlothian. Montgomeryshire Status Recorded at a few sites in the northern half of the county. Wingspan : M & F, 16-22mm. Confusion species E. rosaecolana and E. trimaculana. |
Flight time & Voltinity
(Univoltine)  Habitat Open woodland and hedgerows. Foodplant Rose spp. Lifestage data Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva spins the leaves of young shoots tightly together and feeds within, it also occasionally feeds on flower buds. Pupates in larval habitation. |
