Resident. Local and generally uncommon in England and the northern counties of Wales.

Montgomeryshire Status

Discovered in the east of the county at Dolforwyn Woods Nature Reserve in 2014. Only the second record for north Wales

Wingspan :   M & F 13-16mm.

A fairly distinctive species.

Wherever the foodplant is found.

Foodplant

Rosaceous sp.

Lifestage data

Spinning. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives and feeds in spun leaves. Pupates in a flimsy cocoon 'spun up' in leaf litter.
