Confusion species

Other species of Crambus are very similar, care should be taken with identification.

Habitat

Pastures, woodland rides, bogs and marshes.

Foodplant

Various grasses.

Lifestage data

Grass moth. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva feeds on stems above 15cm from the ground. Pupal site undescribed.
