Montgomeryshire Moth Group ~ Species Distribution

Species per 10km Grid Square
The map below shows the number of moth species recorded within each of Montgomeryshire's 10km grid squares.

The first blue number in each 10km square illustrates the MICRO moth species recorded, the second number is MACRO species.
Clicking on the blue numbers opens a page listing all the moth species, aggregates and forms recorded in the square.

The fact that the species numbers vary widely within the 10km squares is a consequence of the amount of active recorders & recording within a square, rather than the actual habitat (or other factors) relating to a square. Some squares have very few records (SN87 has none!) and the MMG will be attempting to increase the recording coverage over the next few years.
